FINANCIAL AFFIDAVITS
In a family law case the most important document is your Financial Affidavit. A Florida Financial Affidavit shows your income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. During a hearing the Court will examine and the other party will question the completeness and accuracy of all entries on the financial affidavit. From this information the Court makes determinations concerning child support, equitable distribution, alimony, and attorney's fees. It is critical that you review your financial affidavit information many times to make sure it is complete and truthful. You must disclose everything including assets and liabilities prior to your marriage or relationship.
